Rheumatology Clinic - Introduction to Core Functions

The Internal Medicine Clinic–Rheumatology is responsible for rheumatological diseases, in particular for the treatment of inflammatory rheumatic diseases and immunological diseases (mainly arthritis and systemic autoimmune diseases) in line with level 3 progressive care and in its role as appointed “Arthritis Center”. Apart from the above it treats other, complicated rheumatological cases. Treatment of degenerative musculoskeletal conditions (osteoarthrosis, spondylosis, osteoporosis etc.) is partly the responsibility of primary care and partly that of the district rheumatological specialist consultations.
