At the Ophthalmology Division there are 2 inpatient sections, 2 sterile operating rooms and a septic operating room. In the sterile operating rooms 80-90% of the surgeries are cataract surgeries performed within the framework of same-day surgery. In addition to cataract surgeries, glaucoma surgeries and the surgical treatment of the vitreal body and retina diseases are performed as well.
In case of child patients, we provide surgical intervention against strabismus and to decrease near-sightedness.
In the septic operating room, outpatient surgeries are performed, such as surgery to remove a chalazion, lower eyelid position disorders and the surgical treatment of various smaller periocular skin conditions.
