The task of hospitals primarily involves healing, however, the health and the healing of a person requiring help is determined by his/her mental and social condition as well. This is where social workers need to intervene in the following areas:
Treatment of the social and mental problems brought by the patient or acquired during the healing process, the restoration of the disturbed social balance, if possible, and the provision of a living space of adequate quality.
Three social workers are employed by the hospital 1 at the psychiatry and 2 in the general hospital system.
