The order of visiting patients

TOTAL VISITOR BAN AT THE CLINICAL CENTER

A full visitor ban has been implemented at all patient care units at the University of Debrecen Clinical Centre's Nagyerdei, Kenézy Gyula and Gróf Tisza István Campuses on 31 January.

Due to the increasing number of upper respiratory illnesses, the full visitor ban was ordered by the Hajdú-Bihar County Government Office as an epidemiological preventive measure to protect inpatients and workers and is valid until revoked.

  • The visitation ban – provided that protective equipment is ensured – does not affect the following cases:
  • For patients in a severe condition (i.e., those who are unable to physically care for themselves, suffering from pain that cannot be alleviated by medication, or in a psychological crisis), the person designated by them,
  • The parent/legal guardian of a minor or a person with intellectual disabilities (or the person designated by them),
  • An adult designated by the woman giving birth (continuously during labor and childbirth),
  • A religious figure corresponding to the patient's religious beliefs or a member of a religious organization performing religious ceremonies professionally may stay with the patient.

In addition, the use of face masks covering both the nose and mouth remains mandatory.

The management of the University of Debrecen and the Clinical Centre asks for the cooperation and patience of patients and relatives.

Weekends and public holidays: from 10 am to 12 am and from 3 pm to 6 pm

Exceptions are possible with the permission of the head of the institution/organizational unit.

It is recommended that no more than two visitors be with one patient at the same time. Exceptions are possible with the permission of the head of the institution/organizational unit.

  • following the legal regulations, hand sanitisers must be provided at the entry points and visitors must be made aware of this,
  • in enclosed spaces, especially during visits, special attention must be paid to continuous and regular natural ventilation in order to reduce the concentration of pathogens.
