Dear Visitors!
Welcome to the website of the Clinical Centre of the University of Debrecen!
Our institution boasts a history of over 100 years and, through significant professional, organisational, and infrastructural advancements in recent years, has become one of the most prominent healthcare centres in Hungary and the Central European region.
We provide comprehensive diagnostic services, patient care, and related educational and research activities at the Nagyerdei and Kenézy Gyula Campuses in Debrecen, as well as at the Count Tisza István Campus in Berettyóújfalu, covering all levels of medical progress.
The Clinical Centre's more than 7,000 employees—including 1,700 physicians and nearly 4,800 healthcare professionals—contribute to the recovery of over 4 million patients annually. Our diagnostic and patient care services are provided across 3,400 hospital beds, 400 outpatient clinics, 38 care units, 42 dental speciality practices, and 69 imaging and laboratory facilities. In recent years, our innovative advancements have continuously improved healthcare services, allowing us to provide world-class treatment in multiple clinical specialities.
The introduction of cutting-edge medical technology has opened new horizons in patient care. A remarkable example of this is the state-of-the-art Da Vinci robot-assisted surgical system, which offers revolutionary opportunities in general surgery, urology, otolaryngology, and gynaecology.
The Hybrid Catheter Operating Room at the Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Department provides the most modern, 21st-century surgical environment for executing the highest-level cardiovascular interventions.
In spring 2025, we will launch one of Europe's most advanced CT scanners, significantly enhancing diagnostics in cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, and oncology.
Since 2024, the Cornea Outpatient Clinic at the Ophthalmology Department has been equipped with unique technology for the early detection and treatment of corneal diseases.
Also in 2024, we inaugurated the Paediatric Emergency Centre, providing a state-of-the-art facility and high-level expertise for European-standard paediatric emergency care and surgery.
We are committed to providing quality information to patients and ensuring fast, efficient communication. Our digital advancements include the UD Mediversity mobile application, assisting patients in navigating our services quickly and easily. Additionally, we keep the public informed through our social media platforms—Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
