The cerebrovascular specialist outpatient clinic provides continuing care to patients who are scheduled for a check-up after a stroke; its main responsibility is to prevent another stroke by monitoring and controlling the blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol levels as well as motivating patients to quit smoking.
The other main profile of the unit is checking the constrictions of cervical arteries and designing a treatment plan. Based on the examinations we can judge whether the patients can expect more benefits from medicinal treatment or from surgery.
The work of our cerebrovascular specialist clinic is helped by our ultrasonography/Doppler specialist outpatient clinics.
