The specialist outpatient clinic specializes in heart conditions. If the family doctor or other specialists suspect that in the background of the complaints the patient presents with may be a heart condition or if they want to know about the health condition of the heart before an intervention, they refer the patient to the cardiology outpatient clinic. A referral for a visit is needed and an appointment must be booked. (elojegyzes@debkard.hu).

The following test are made as part of the cardiological examination at the outpatient clinic: measurement of the blood pressure, ECG test, a new heart ultrasound examination in most cases and specialist counselling. If a highly specialized cardiologist is needed based on the examination results (e.g. electrophysiological intervention), the patient may be directed to the outpatient clinic specializing in the relevant field.

Referral by: family doctors, internists, occupational health specialists, cardiologists or partner departments.
