Dear relatives,
The following information leaflet provides you with information on the post-mortem examination and your administrative tasks. Regarding the administration carried out in the Hospital, please note the following:
- The relatives involved in the procedure are informed orally on their duties at the Department of Pathology on weekdays from 7.30 am to 3.30 pm.
- The clothes for the burial can be submitted on weekdays between 8 am and 1 pm. Autopsy technicians performing funerary activities work as private entrepreneurs; you will find the list of charges for their services displayed in the waiting hall for relatives.
- The Statistical Sheet for the Registration of Death will be filled in and submitted to the Statistical Office by the competent registrar, who is the data provider responsible for the statistical recording of deaths.
- The storage and refrigeration fee for 0-5 days is 8,000 HUF + VAT, which is to be paid at the cash desk in the hospital. If the burial is later than 5 days after death, the hospital undertakes to continue refrigeration at a cost of 1,000 HUF + VAT/day. Payment of this fee may also be done by the funeral home or the undertaker transporting the body; in this case the attached Data Sheet shall be filled in.

- On request, the deceased person can be looked at in the funerary room. For further information call 00-36-52-411-777 /extension 1215.
After all presented above has been concluded, the Extract from the Register of Deaths can be collected from the New Town Hall (4026-Debrecen, Kálvin tér 11, 1st floor, Room 128), which is necessary for the funeral home or the undertaker for the burial or the cremation of the body.
