We treat more than 1,500 patients a year in our Gynecology and Obstetrics Division. There is also a sub-intensive care unit in our division, where we treat patients who have just undergone surgery and require continuous monitoring. Our patients spend an average of 3-4 days in our ward. Preoperative examinations are usually performed as an outpatient. The indication of major surgeries is established or approved by the head physician or his / her deputy.

Gynecologic oncology care
Diagnosing and treating gynecological cancers is an important part of our work. The members of the medical team, performing the surgeries, have the appropriate knowledge and experience. We cooperate with the Pathology, Radiology and Oncology Divisions and the Institute of Radiotherapy of the University of Debrecen. In the case of complicated and multidisciplinary surgeries, we can count on the help of other divisions, too (surgery, urology). The care, aftercare and follow-up examinations are decided by a team of doctors, the onco-team: a surgical specialist, an oncologist and a pathologist.
