The outpatient specialist consultation of the Oncology Clinic sees new patients and those with an oncological diagnosis already under care from Debrecen. With respect to several diseases the clinic functions as a centre, therefore treatment of patients from regional hospitals is also provided according to the level of progressive care (depending on prevalence and complexity of the case).
The great majority of tumor patients are administered an oncotherapy regimen, as regularly scheduled treatments, which means that after a shorter or longer infusion patients can leave for home.
In 2018 about 8,000 patients were treated about 24,000 times at our ambulatory unit either by examination or with a regularly scheduled treatment.
