The main aim of our specialist service is the detection of dental foci in patients above 18, which is usually indicated before different surgeries (cardiac, hip, or knee replacement surgery, etc.), organ and stem cell transplantation, at the initiation of oncological treatments (radio- and/or chemotherapy) or immunosuppressive therapies, or by a current focal infection. Consultations require a referral. The detection of dental foci includes a dental examination, stomato-oncological screening, and dental imaging (panoramic dental X-ray, RVG, or CBCT, if necessary), which serve as a sound basis for a complex and personalized treatment plan aimed at the treatment of focal infections. In cases requiring clinical background, the treatment of focal infection is done in close cooperation with related specialties.
