A Holter ECG is a form of ECG whereby the instrument attached to the patient records the electric activity of the heart for a longer period of time (usually for 24 hours) thus facilitating observation of the electric activity of the heart during temporary complaints lasting for short periods of time only during the day (e.g. arrhythmias or dizziness).
