Clinical Pharmacology Division - Introduction to our core services

Clinical Pharmacology Division

The division is located on the ground floor in the white sector. Telephone number: +36 52 511 777 / extension 1467.

The Clinical Pharmacology Division has been an accredited study site of the National Institute of Pharmacy and Nutrition for phase 1 and phase 2 studies since 2004. The Clinical Pharmacology Division can be accessed through a separate entrance. We have 12 beds connected to a nurse station, where both the recruitment and the examination of the patients is conducted in adherence with strict study protocols.

The centre is active in all therapeutic areas and is considered to have a priority role.

We conduct early phase studies in a number of areas including pediatrics, infectology, hepatology, allergology, pulmonology and biological therapy, as well as studies related to biosimilars, GMOs, vaccines, food and medical devices.

Types of clinical trials

  • We conduct phase 1, 2, 3 and 4 national and international clinical studies on drugs, food and medical devices,
  • as well as bioequivalence studies for biosimilar products.

Participation in clinical research studies is entirely voluntary in all cases and participants’ data are anonymized.

All study protocols define exactly what the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the individual studies are to help the Investigator decide on the basis of the examination performed at the first personal meeting if the patient is suitable for participation in the given study or not.
Informed Consent for clinical study participation (which can be withdrawn at any time) must be obtained in writing in all cases.

Each study has a protocol (a specification) that regulates the number, frequency, and type (inpatient, outpatient) of the required study site visits that must be done in person, and the examinations and procedures subjects need to undergo.

Each study subject can only take part in one study at a time.
