Dear Patients!
On July 7, 2021, the isolated respiratory emergency care at the Clinical Centre of the University of Debreben ceased, so we will provide full patient care at the Kenézy Gyula Campus and the Nagyerdei Campus, according to the regional principle.
The change was made possible by the decrease in the number of coronavirus patients.
The Kenézy Gyula Campus Emergency Department, which previously provided respiratory emergency care, has returned to full patient care, so the system of the isolated respiratory emergency care has ended. The Emergency Clinic of the Clinical Centre also provides comprehensive patient care, which includes the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory patients.
However, pre-triage will still be used to screen patients with coronavirus infection in both emergency admission departments. Patients who are suspected or confirmed positive for coronavirus infection are examined and first treated at the outpatient department of the Infectology Clinic of the Clinical Centre. However, if the patient cannot be transported due to his serious condition and needs immediate medical treatment, they will be treated at place. Therefore, a COVID isolation room is designated in both emergency patient care locations.
The National Ambulance Service transports COVID-positive patients in need of intensive care to the intensive care unit of the Kenézy Gyula Campus dedicated to COVID care.
From July 7, patients requiring toxicology care will be received by the Kenézy Gyula Campus Emergency Department, with the exception of severe, critical patients, who will be treated at the Nagyerdei Campus Emergency Clinic.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
