Department of Internal Medicine Block A - Admission of acute care patients

Building A accepts acute care patients from the catchment area, who come via the Emergency Clinic during the day and during duty hours.

Patients with endocrinology and metabolic conditions, who need immediate medical attention are brought to the Emergency Clinic by the Ambulance Service. Acute admission will follow after check-ups have been completed at the Emergency Clinic, the internal medicine specialist outpatient clinics or specialist consultations.

For the admission of new or transferred nephrology patients the head of the nephrology ward, or the appointed nephrologist on duty during duty hours needs to be contacted.
