Pulmonary Care Unit:

  • The foundation of modern patient care is appropriate professional knowledge and clinical expertise.
  • All patient care provided in the Pulmonary Care Unit is delivered in accordance with current professional guidelines and clinical protocols.
  • All specialist physicians working in the Pulmonary Care Unit have several decades of outpatient care experience. They regularly participate in continuing medical education programs and speciality-specific conferences and keep up to date with current national and international medical developments.

The Pulmonary Care Institute operates as an adult outpatient clinic and pulmonary care service at the external site of the Kenézy Campus.

The Pulmonary Care Institute operates 5 outpatient clinics and employs 5 specialist physicians.

Opening hours:

Monday and Thursday: 08:00 - 18:00

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 08:00 - 14:00

Based on the current directive of the President of the Clinical Centre at the University of Debrecen, each outpatient clinic is allowed to see up to four patients per hour.

All outpatient services operate by referral only, based on district allocation and appointment scheduling. Compliance with district allocation is in the best interest of patient safety, as the secure management of patients identified through lung screening and patients with tuberculosis (TB) requires clearly structured care pathways and regulated clinical procedures
