Poland’s consul stationed in Budapest personally expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Clinical Centre of the University of Debrecen for the top-shelf expert medical care provided to the victims of the coach accident that had occurred on the M3 motorway in August. Marcin Bobiński noted that the Polish victims had received the highest standard of clinical care in Debrecen, which played a significant part in their speedy recovery. The consul was formally received by the leadership of the Clinical Centre in the Presidential Office on Tuesday.

An international delegation of six members visited the Clinical Centre of the University of Debrecen recently. This visit of specialists on Monday was the first stop in Hungary for a capacity-building project, coordinated by the Regional Office for Europe of the World Health Organization (WHO/Europe), aimed at supporting the responsible use of antimicrobials and infection control.

This act of prestigious international recognition also serves as confirmation of the high standard of robotic gynecological surgery in Debrecen and of the consistent professional development achieved at the clinic in recent years.
In 2026, the University of Debrecen hosted the annual meeting of the Hungarian Biochemical Society, which will be held in conjunction with an international conference. The event is the most prestigious domestic forum in the field of biochemistry, featuring scientific presentations and professional discussions, and two faculty members from the university will also receive prestigious professional recognition. The three-day conference opened on Wednesday, August 26, at the Learning Center.
