Patients scheduled for major musculoskeletal surgeries are admitted to the inpatient ward the day before surgery while patients scheduled for minor surgeries are admitted to the inpatient ward the morning of the surgery. The majority of interventions are made as day surgeries in line with up-to-date professional principles, social expectations and in compliance with the legal framework.
Transfer to the rehabilitation ward is an option after major surgeries if the patient is eligible for discharge from an orthopedic point of view.
