Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Clinic - Introduction to Core Functions

Inpatient care provides local and general anesthesia for surgical and diagnostic interventions.

Depending on the patient’s condition, the following may be provided: close anesthetic observation and care preoperatively and postoperatively in the neurosurgery-, central surgery- and cardiac surgery ICUs and in the postoperative recovery room of the obstetrics and gynecology clinic. Critical care is provided for patients in a critical condition (close monitoring, circulatory and respiratory support, and organ replacement care) in the intensive care units.
