Introduction - Adult Infectology Division

The general infectology division for inpatient and outpatient care is located upstairs. Patient admission is continuous at the emergency infectology clinic. Upper and lower respiratory infections, enteritis, enterocolitis, meningitis and pneumonia are the most frequently treated diseases. Every outpatient clinic and specialist practice requires a referral and is available by appointment, the only exception to that is the emergency Infectology outpatient unit.

The Clinical Pharmacology Division can be accessed through a separate entrance. We have 12 beds connected to a nurse station, where both the recruitment and the examination of the patients is conducted in adherence with strict study protocols. The centre is active in all therapeutic areas and is considered to have a priority role. We conduct early phase studies in a number of areas including pediatrics, infectology, hepatology, allergology, pulmonology and biological therapy, as well as studies related to biosimilars, GMOs, vaccines, food and medical devices.

Our physicians also play an active role in the practical and theoretical education of Hungarian and international medical students, residents, fellows, and in the further training of healthcare professionals.

Self-education for the medical staff is supported in the form of medical congresses, conferences and meetings.
