Surgery Clinic - Admission of acute care patients

Several ways are possible:

  • Patients requiring surgical treatment may arrive via the emergency ward with the results of their preliminary tests.
  • Patients may be directly referred by a GP specifically to this clinic.
  • Patients may arrive with abdominal complaints directly, without a referral.
  • Patients may arrive from other clinics for medical consultation when a problem is suspected that might need surgical intervention.
