Department of Internal Medicine Block A - Follow-up examinations

Patients are requested to bring with them their medical referral, personal documents, previous medical documents (previous discharge summaries, test results, etc.) and the list of the medications they take.

The following things will be needed during your hospital days:

  • toiletries (towels, soap, toothbrush, toilet paper, handkerchief)
  • nightgown or pyjamas, robe, slippers
  • silverware (spoon, fork, knife), napkin, glass
  • you can store your street clothes in the locker.

Please, do not bring your expensive items with you, (e.g. jewelry). If you have expensive items, just give them to the department nurse or the head nurse for safekeeping.

The visit is not regulated. Our clinic is open-minded, but we suggest that you do not come to your relatives during the morning (8 AM - 10 AM) and afternoon (3 PM - 4 PM) visits. During the flu pandemic the visiting ban will be indicated at the entrance of the concerned department and the entrance of the building.

In the inpatient wards of the clinic, a written patient infomation leaflet was prepared for each patient and will be received from the nurse upon patient admission.

Patients can go home if their condition no longer justifies further care. Patients or their relatives will be informed by the doctor before at least 24 hours about the time of leaving. If they need transportation, they have to indicate the request one day before the date of leaving. After receiving the discharge summary, patients can go home at that time as they discussed with the doctor. Each patient will receive 2 copies of the discharge summary and also get a hospital certificate.
