Infectology Clinic - Other information concerning inpatient care

Our specialty clinics require referrals.

Patients are kindly asked to bring along their previous medical reports.

At the HIV sub-centre treatment, nursing, follow-up and medication therapy is provided only for diagnosed HIV patients, consequently, the presence of previous medical documentation is absolutely necessary.

Medical records are kept in accordance with the hospital regulations of the University of Debrecen Kenézy Gyula Teaching Hospital.

Medical devices are fully available for infectological care, their acquisition is managed centrally.

Work schedule

  • 7:30 AM - 8 AM – information about the condition of patients
  • 8 AM - 8:30 AM – participation in the morning meeting
  • 8:30 AM - 10 AM – ward round at the division
  • 11 AM – noon: recording of cases, prescription of examinations
  • 12:30 PM – 1 PM – head physician’s round
  • 3 PM - 3:30 PM – afternoon round
  • 3:30 PM - 7:30 AM – on duty and standby service

Visiting Hours (recommended)

  • Working days: 2 PM - 4 PM
  • Weekends and holidays: 10 AM – noon and 2 PM - 4 PM
  • Children under 14 are not allowed to visit.

Discharge

  • Discharge requires a final report and takes place preferably until 10 AM.
  • The final report is signed by the attending physician and the head physician at the institute (or his/her deputy).
  • The final report has to be taken by the patients, or their legal representative or legal caregiver, as verified by their signature, and thus shall be archived with the patients’ medical records.
