Patients are urgently admitted if they need immediate examination or treatment. These patients usually arrive from our ambulatory unit or the ambulatory unit of the Emergency Clinic, or they are directly delivered by the Ambulance Service in the case of stroke patients, for example. Patients are seen on weekdays 8 AM - 2 PM at the ambulatory unit, and at other times at the wards as described above. If the examinations discover that the neurological cause is not the primary cause of the complaints the patient may be transferred as an outpatient to another ward.
