INTRODUCTION

The Clinical Centre of the University of Debrecen considers it a priority goal to improve the efficiency of communication with patients and expand the scope of contact opportunities, in addition to the infrastructural and professional development and modernization of patient care.

In order to achieve these goals, the Patient Management Centre was established in 2022, which supports the operation of specialist clinics.

Our task is to increase patient satisfaction and the safety and quality of patient care, to facilitate access to clinical services, keeping in mind the principle of equal opportunities.

WHAT DO WE PROVIDE TO PATIENTS AND RELATIVES?

  • according to uniform principles, we provide patients with the earliest possible examination appointments for the appropriate specialist order, specialist ambulance, following prior contact and consultation,
  • admission of the patient to the healthcare system, management within the building, distribution of patients between professions, patient management,
  • information about the specialist consultations, 
  • information about the doctor contacts,
  • information about the rules of using health care

The staff of the Patient Management Centre perform their tasks at three sites (the Outpatient Specialist Care Centre, the Kenézy Gyula Campus and the Nagyerdei Campus), supervising the patient management of the specialist surgeries and specialist ambulances located at all the Clinical Centre sites. On working days, we accept patient requests from 7 AM to 7 PM, both in person, by phone, and by e-mail.

APPOINTMENT REQUEST, INFORMATION

More than 3 million doctor-patient encounters take place in the outpatient care of the Clinical Centre every year, and more than 400 specialist clinics operate on the premises of the institution. With our new appointment system, it is easier and faster to book an appointment for specialist orders and to provide information more efficiently. We have introduced a single, easy-to-remember central number instead of several different phone numbers for each location, and appointments and information can also be requested by e-mail.

Calls and e-mails are received by our dispatchers in Hungarian and English on working days from 7 AM to 7 PM.  Our employees will help you to find the specialists and specialist appointments necessary for recovery as simply as possible.

When dou you need to call the telephone number of (06 52) 52 52 52?  

  • Booking an appointment for special orders
  • modification of existing appointments,
  • cancellation of an appointment
  • requesting information
  • connecting inpatient care departments

The new appointment system enables the dispatchers to see the schedule of doctors and clinics for all specialist appointments, so they can offer the earliest possible appointment for the patient's problem. It depends on the patient's condition and the severity of the problem, which specialist consultation in the campus should the patient go. The previous telephone numbers of the Clinical Centre will be available for a while, but the call process will be done according to the new system.

What should you prepare if you want to book an appointment?

If you book an appointment by phone, prepare the following:

  • TAJ card
  • if you book an appointment for your relatives, their personal documents are needed due to the dication of the data
  • referral, if you book an appintment to a specialist consultation that requires a referral
  • previous medical document if you have already visited the specialist consultation

If you book an appointment by e-mail, please send us the following:

  • Personal documents (name, birth name, mother's name, place and date of birth, address, TAJ card, telephone number)
  • An exact description of the planned examination/specialist consultation/doctor's name
  • If you can, please send us the referral, too
  • If you can not send the referral by e-mail, then send us the datas of the referral                                                                                                             (exact name of the specialist clinic wrote down by the referral doctor, log number, priority, any information)
  • In case of check-up examination, the date of the last appearance

Central patient admission points:  

  • Outpatient Specialist Care Centre of the Clinical Centre:

                   Bethlen str. 11-17

                   Opening hours: 6:45 AM - 7 PM

 

  • Kenézy Gyula Campus of the Clinical Centre

                    Bartók Béla str. 2-26

                    Opening hours: 7 AM - 3 PM

 

On the Nagyerdei Campus, the Clinics have independent patient admission points.

 

Prepare the following for patient admission:

  • TAJ card
  • ID card
  • address card
  • referral, if you come to a specialist consultation that requires a referral
  • previous medical document if you have already visited the specialist consultation

Automatic patient admission machines:

In order to register faster, you can also use automatic patient registration machines at the Outpatient Specialist Care Centre and Kenézy Gyula Campus. These patients can register themselves for that day, if they do not come for a referral-based appointment. You need to enter the TAJ card for the registration or scan the bar code on the medical document.
