Patents may be admitted to the inpatient ward from the rehabilitation specialist outpatients or by appointment or they can be transferred from other health care institutes. There is no duty admission on the ward.
Patient registration:
Upon admission data of the inpatient are checked by the admitting doctor, then entered into the Medsolution integrated computer system. If the patient is already registered in one of the units of the Clinical Centre, the data need to be activated. The admitter shall check the validity of the health insurance card. Failure to have a valid card does not prevent provision of patient care, but the patient needs to sign a statement acknowledging the above fact.
Placement of patients:
The nurse working the ward takes care of assigning an inpatient bed. The nurse also informs patients both orally and in writing about the daily operation of the ward, about safekeeping of valuables, and introduces patients to the equipment in the room, comfort and other utensils that the patients may want to use. At the same time the nurse also informs patients and relatives about potential changes in the bed assignment.
Rehabilitation services are also available for patients without Hungarian insurance coverage via the Self-Pay Medical Centre of the University of Debrecen. Fees are calculated based on the examination- and treatment plan.
